Terms of Service

Important: These terms are written to help protect TimeForSalah, its owner, contributors, volunteers, and service providers. They are not legal advice. You should ask a qualified lawyer to review them for your country, business setup, and risk profile.

1. What TimeForSalah provides

TimeForSalah is a community information platform that helps people discover masjids, view salah and jama’ah times, upload timetables, receive reminders, find Qibla direction, log personal worship activity, review masjids, post announcements, and suggest corrections.

2. Information only, not advice

The app does not provide religious rulings, legal advice, travel advice, safety advice, emergency guidance, or professional recommendations. Prayer times, Qibla direction, maps, masjid details, reviews, announcements, notifications, uploaded files, calculated times, and community content may be wrong, delayed, incomplete, unavailable, or unsuitable for your situation.

3. Always verify important information

You are responsible for confirming prayer times, jama’ah times, opening hours, facilities, announcements, routes, accessibility, and any other important information directly with the relevant masjid, scholar, official timetable, local authority, or trusted source before relying on it.

4. Community content and moderation

Many parts of the app may be added, edited, uploaded, reviewed, translated, reported, or suggested by users, guests, volunteers, automated tools, public sources, or third-party services. We do not guarantee that this content is accurate, lawful, appropriate, complete, current, safe, or verified. We may edit, reject, hide, remove, restore, or keep content at our discretion, without being required to monitor everything.

5. Your responsibilities

You must use the app lawfully, respectfully, and only for permitted purposes. You must not submit false, harmful, offensive, unlawful, private, confidential, copyrighted, misleading, defamatory, discriminatory, abusive, spam, malware, impersonating, or rights-infringing content. You are responsible for what you submit and for any consequences of using, sharing, or relying on app content.

6. Prayer times, notifications, Qibla, and location

Salah times may come from uploaded timetables, calculations, third-party APIs, cached records, or user suggestions. Notifications are reminders only and may not arrive on time or at all. Qibla and location tools depend on device sensors, browser permissions, GPS, network conditions, maps, and third-party data. You use these features at your own risk.

7. Masjid listings and public contributions

A masjid listing does not mean TimeForSalah owns, operates, represents, endorses, verifies, sponsors, or is affiliated with that masjid unless clearly stated. Reviews and announcements are opinions or community posts, not statements by TimeForSalah.

8. Third-party services and links

The app may use or link to maps, prayer-time APIs, browsers, push notification services, authentication, hosting, file storage, analytics, email, support links, payment/donation links, and external websites. We are not responsible for third-party availability, content, policies, fees, errors, security, data practices, or actions.

9. Accounts, devices, and access

Some features may work for guests using a device identifier; others may require sign-in. We may suspend, restrict, delete, refuse, or limit access to any account, device, content, or feature if we believe there is misuse, security risk, legal risk, operational need, policy breach, or harm to the community or project.

10. Intellectual property and submitted content

TimeForSalah’s name, design, branding, software, and original content are protected by intellectual property laws. By submitting content, you confirm that you have the rights and permission to do so, and you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, process, moderate, translate, adapt, publish, and use it to operate, protect, and improve the app.

11. Availability, changes, and data loss

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. We may change, pause, remove, discontinue, or limit any feature, content, policy, database record, notification, integration, or access at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, backups, data retention, or error-free operation.

12. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent allowed by law, TimeForSalah disclaims all warranties, representations, guarantees, and conditions, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including accuracy, reliability, availability, security, fitness for purpose, merchantability, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free service.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, TimeForSalah and its owner, operators, developers, contributors, volunteers, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, reputational, financial, religious, travel, safety, data-loss, device, business, or reliance-related damages, including missed prayers, missed events, incorrect times, route issues, community content, calculated content, or notification failures.

14. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TimeForSalah and its owner, operators, developers, contributors, volunteers, affiliates, and service providers from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the app, submitted content, breach of these terms, legal violations, rights infringements, or misuse of the service.

15. Local laws and protected rights

Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited. If any part is unenforceable in a country or region, the rest should remain effective as far as legally possible.
